Looking for a baby monitor with 2 bases/1 receiver…can you help?

Hi. I have a 2 year old son and am expecting a little girl in a few months. I am looking for a baby monitor in which I can put a base in each of their rooms and just have one receiver in our room. I have looked all over the Internet and cannot find such a thing. I see they make a ton with 2 receivers and one base, but what about 2 bases and one receiver? Any ideas? Thanks

I’ve had this problem too… My kids are in different rooms and when they are napping I like to go upstairs to work on sewing projects. I can’t hear either of them from up there, so I do need monitors for both. I tried getting a second baby monitor, but found that the monitors interfered with each other. If I had both bases on, I just got static on the receivers. What I ended up doing is getting an intercom system from radio shack. The intercoms are wired, the signal is transmitted through the electrical lines in the house. I’m using the intercoms for my daughter (3 year old) and a baby monitor for my son (11 months). You can have as many intercoms as you want, you set one to be the “base” by putting it on lock. Then you can listen from any of the other ones. The intercoms can also be useful when your kids outgrow monitors. When it’s not on lock, people on any of them can push the talk button to say something and it will be heard by all the others. My parents have had one for years so that when my dad goes down to work in the basement, my mom can call him on the intercom rather than having to yell down the stairs at him.
